How we use your information
Invest Aberdeen is a local authority funded service contributing to growing the local economy and driving inward investment to the Aberdeen City Region.
With your consent, we will send you information and updates about Invest Aberdeen news and services. These updates may include information on events that we are holding and information about the business support and advice services that are available to you from ourselves or partner organisations (for example Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International, Scottish Government and UK Government).
If, at any time, you decide that you no longer wish to receive these communications then you can unsubscribe from future communications by contacting enquiries@investaberdeen.co.uk.
We also provide an enquiry service to give business advice and support services to you. We will use the information you supply to us to:
• Verify your identity where required;
• Reply to your enquiry by post, email, or telephone;
• Maintain our records;
• Provide services to you or send you information on our services as appropriate;
• Look at the services you and other clients use;
• Report on the number of clients using our services.
We may share your personal information with our service delivery partners to enable them to assist in the delivery of business advice and support services. These partners include: Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International, Scottish Government and UK Government.
We may also share your personal information with relevant departments within Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council.
How long we’ll keep your information for
We will keep your personal details on our mailing list for as long as you wish us to do so.
Where we have collected your personal details as part of our public task to communicate with you as part of our enquiry service we will keep this information for 3 years.

We understand our legal basis for processing personal data in relation to enquiries as Article 6(1)(e) of GDPR as this is based on our public task in relation to growing the local economy in line with our responsibilities under Scotland’s Economic Strategy, 2015 and the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act, 2015.
