James is a graduate of Dundee University with a background in town planning. He has 12 years experience across town planning, project management and economic development related disciplines in public and private sector roles.

James joined the Invest Aberdeen Team in 2018 having previously managed Energetica on behalf of three partners – Scottish Enterprise, Aberdeenshire Council and Aberdeen City Council. He was responsible for developing, promoting and delivering the 25 year Energetica programme which seeks to increase and diversify economic activity within the North East of Scotland and specifically the Energetica corridor along the coast between Aberdeen and Peterhead.

James is an outdoor enthusiast and hits the trails on his mountain bike in his spare time and enjoys playing football regularly.
Matt Lockley

Matt has over 15 years experience working in economic development and relocated to Aberdeen in September 2016 to take up a role within City Growth at Aberdeen City Council, which includes Invest Aberdeen and international partnerships.

His economic development career started in 2001, working on a community regeneration project in Nottingham. Since then, Matt has worked in a number of local authority and public-private partnerships, including Sheffield City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and the Greater Nottingham Partnership. His roles have covered a wide range of economic development activities including external funding, inward investment, employment and skills and Enterprise Zones / business park development. Before relocating to Aberdeen, Matt led a corporate programme looking at the devolution agenda in England.

Matt has a degree and Masters in Russian and Soviet Studies and retains a keen interest in this. Outside of work, his interests include reading, sports, hill walking and travel.
Lynn Mutch

Lynn has 20 years of experience in project coordination, logistics, purchasing and compliance work primarily in the oil & gas industry. She also has experience of SAP training and projects and enjoyed roles that allowed her to facilitate client relations and business development.

Though a native of Aberdeenshire she has lived in the UAE, Italy and the USA and is excited to be back in Aberdeen as a passionate advocate for the opportunities in her home region. Lynn has a BA Hons in International Relations and History from Lake Forest College in Illinois, USA.

Outwith work, Lynn is a keen baker and movie goer and enjoys attending small gigs at local music venues. She also offers up her time to a number of local charities.
Callum Stewart

Born and raised in Aberdeen, Callum’s background is in competitive recruitment environments, specialising in Technical Oil & Gas and IT both internationally and in the North Sea. Most recently, he spent two years working in the legislative framework of Non-Domestic Rates taxation within Aberdeen City Council.

Callum’s role involves supporting the variety of projects and activities Invest Aberdeen is involved in, through researching potential new investment leads, attending industry events and assisting in drafting responses to investor queries

A keen golfer, Callum enjoys spending his spare time on one of the many golf courses that are located in Aberdeenshire, and taking advantage of the unique scenery that Royal Deeside has to offer.

With a degree in Management with Marketing from Robert Gordon University, Danielle hails from Perth and started her professional career in tourism, where she worked in VisitBritain’s New York office prior to a business tourism role with VisitScotland.

Danielle has worked in economic development since 2013, as an Investor, Visitor & Skills Attraction Officer with Aberdeen City Council before leading on the marketing and communications for Energetica – Scotland’s Energy Corridor. She worked to raise the profile of Energetica, attract new investment and build relationships locally, nationally and internationally to increase international trade.

As her adopted home, she has a genuine enthusiasm for the Aberdeen City Region and enjoys being able to showcase the area in her role as marketing and communications lead for Invest Aberdeen.

Danielle enjoys trying out new venues in the city centre and escaping to the North East’s stunning coastline at the weekend.
